To describe 18-year-old Julie Anne San Jose would be a fascinating task. She used to be a runner-up for Little Miss Philippines, a high competitor on a singing competition called Popstar Kids, and a member of a band called Sugarpop. Indeed, becoming an adult in the industry makes Julie Anne a remarkable performer. Her effort and determination is slowly paying down using the discharge of her movie Only one Summer this month, a currently airing Television show, Together Forever, on GMA Network, and her self-titled album under GMA Records, to be released and distributed through global distributor, Valleyarm.

Despite her crazy schedule, we were sufficiently fortunate to get a your hands on Julie Anne to talk about her very first album like a solo artist.

This is your first album under GMA Records, what else could you say concerning the experience?

I'm overwhelmed and extremely happy with this experience because finally, I'll be able to fulfill one of my dreams as an artist with an album. Also, this experience is really a blessing [as] not every artists reach have an opportunity to have an album and so i am really just thankful.


We all know that you were once a part of the girl group, Sugarpop. Could it be simple for you to transition from being in a group to a solo artist?

Generally, the transition was fine. I simply needed to adjust from performing having a group to performing solo. I just felt that there are more responsibilities performing solo because all attention is on me, as compared to [performing] in a group where the attention from the audience is split between the members. So, now, I truly make certain I give my overall of my performances.

Starting today, mapa-panood sa SM Cinemas ang SID na ayon sa GMA VP for post productions na si Edward Achacoso ay ginamitan ng state-of-the-art production at best of high definition cameras and graphics machines. Ito rin ang ginamit sa Hollywood movies gaya ng Transformers at Avengers.

Dahil sa pakikipag-duet kay Regine sa theme song, lalong pinaniniwalaan na bini-build up si Julie Anne as one of the GMA-7 biggest stars.

Katunayan nito ang magkasunod na release ng kanyang debut album from GMA Records at showing sa August 15 ng launching movie nila ni Elmo Magalona na Just One Summer. Kikiligin ang fans sa eksenang naghubad si Elmo dahil sa pangdi-dare ni Julie Anne.

May tsika palang habang nagda-dubbing for JOS last Tuesday sa loob ng Sampagutia Studios, na-stranded sina Julie Anne at Elmo dahil sa lakas ng ulan at baha. Ano kaya ang pinag-usapan ng dalawa habang stranded?

Kapuso superstar Marian Rivera squeezes helping flood victims into her busy schedule and goes with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in its relief operation this morning.


PRC chief Richard Gordon tweeted these photos of him and Marian distributing relief goods to the flood victims of Nesty Isla along Araneta Avenue, Quezon City.

Marian is one of the Philippine Red Cross’s ambassadors.

GMA Records announces that Julie Anne San Jose's much-awaited self-titled recording album will be available for downloading at the iTunes Store starting tomorrow, August 10.


The compact disc version of the album will be available beginning next weekend in selected Astroplus and Astrovision outlets in Metro Manila and in provinces in Astroplus and Astrovision outlets a week later.

The 10-track album features the carrier single, "I'll Be There," the music video of which has now reached close to 1 million views on YouTube. The single hit the no. 1 spot in the Pinoy MYX Countdown during the week covering August 4-10, 2012.
