My Neighbor's Wife will set the screen on fire!
THERE hasn't been a local sex drama that’s been shown for quite a while since bold flicks went out of fashion, so Regal’s steamy new film on the controversial topic of wife-swapping, “My Neighbor’s Wife,” will serve as a test case if local viewers have really missed this kind of provocative film fare. “The title is from one of the Ten Commandments: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife,” says Mother Lily, who celebrated her birthday yesterday with a big bash at Century Imperial Palace. “Mag-asawa rito sina Dennis Trillo and Lovi Poe, Carla Abellana and Jake Cuenca, then they’ll be tempted and exchange partners. Magaling si writer-director Jun Lana. He came up with a very sexy film but well crafted and there’s an important message about the sanctity of marital relationships.”

dramatic scenes. Lovi has won best actress awards so given ng magaling siya, no question about that. But she displays here a combination of sensuality and great acting na hahanga ka talaga sa kanya. Carla is the revelation here.
At first, she’s hesitant to go sexy, but when I asked for her cooperation, she gave it wholeheartedly. Marami siyang gugulatin dito, especially sa breakdown scene niya na ang husay niya talaga. Si Dennis, multi-awardee na rin at kilala na sa drama, pero marami pa siyang ipinakitang kakaibang galing dito sa movie. As for Jake, he’s the only Kapamilya here and first time ko to work with him. I admire his diligence in interpreting his role. Preparado talaga siya’t pinag-aaralan ang bawat scene niya. Even sa sexy scenes, bigay na bigay siya.
