The topic usually asked of Geoff Eigenmann for the “Magic Palayok” presscon was: when are you and Carla Abellana planning to wed? Doesn’t he get fed up hearing the particular question over and over again? “Wala, e,” he shrugs. “Before, ang laging tinatanong was kung on na ba kami, so I guess logical lang that the next question after we admitted na officially on na nga kami is: kailan kayo pakakasal? Ganun din naman sa iba pang artista who admitted they’re going steady, di ba? And I guess hangga’t hindi kami kinakasal, itatanong at itatanong pa rin 'yun at paulit-ulit din naming isasagot na we’re not yet ready as we’re still enjoying our careers.”

In GMA 7 new soap “Magic Palayok,” he plays Jude, a rich guy who is going to be long lost dad of Angeli Sanoy, the girl who owns the magic palayok which can cook a variety of delightful dishes. Her mother, Mikee Cojuangco in a special guest role, dies and so Angeli is forced to search for her father. Perhaps the biggest issue is there are three other guys who will be also believed to be her possible dad: Jay-R, Gino de la Pena and Frank Garcia. “Our last show ni Carla was a heavy drama, ‘Basahang Ginto’. This one is much lighter at may fantasy elements for the whole family. I’m glad to be reunited here with Direk Joel Lamangan kasi para kang nagwo-workshop with him. Hangga’t di niya nagugustuhan ang isang eksena mo, pauulit niya sa’yo until you perfect it. Dito, mala-Walt Disney ang treatment niya that even the villains, played by my Tita Cherie Gil and Chynna Ortaleza, very funny ang dating.”

“Magic Palayok” will replace “Bantatay” that ends today with an explosive episode in which a major character will say goodbye. “Bantatay” is truly a constant toprater and even it’s newest competitor, Kris Aquino’s game show, find it hard to beat it. “Kaya nga may pressure sa’min,” says Geoff. “Kailangan ma-maintain ng ‘Magic Palayok’ ang high ratings set by ‘Bantatay’.”

NOW that “Basahang Ginto” reaches its conclusion this week, Geoff Eigenmann says he feels somewhat anxious that he won’t be able to see Carla Abellana often as he’s also busy taping the new hit primetime show, “Grazilda”, with Glaiza de Castro. When Carla went with some friends to Boracay for a short vacation, he followed her so they can have some good moments together. So what’s the status of their relationship now? “Ganun pa rin, close friends, hindi pa naman niya ako sinasagot, eh,” he says.

Carla says if ever she’d choose someone for a boyfriend, definitely, it’s not going to be anyone else but Geoff. “Kaya lang, I really want to concentrate muna on my career kasi I still consider myself a neophyte in showbiz. I really want to make good muna as an actress before I consider affairs of the heart. I’m glad naman that Geoff says he’s willing to wait. Basta huwag na lang muna kayong bibitaw sa ‘Basahang Ginto’ as the last few episodes will offer some exciting twists and turns in the story up to the memorable finale.”

MAS nagiging daring na nga si Geoff Eigenmann ngayon.

Kahit sa Rosalinda ay nagpapakita na rin siya ng katawan, at bongga pa siya sa pakikipag-love scene.

Sa latest Hanford pictorial niya, mas daring at mas sexier Geoff daw ang matutunghayan.

Anyway, nanood ng Cosmo Bachelor Bash si Carla Abellana kamakailan, at isa ito sa nakitili sa mga nakabuhad na lalaki. Na-imagine ba ni Geoff, na kung isa siya sa rumampa, papayagan ba niyang mapanood siya ni Carla? O type ba niyang rumampa ng hubad sa harap ni Carla?

“Why not? I’m supposed to be part of the Cosmo Bash, but due to a prior commitment, hindi ako nakapunta. Pero noong malaman ko nga that she will be going to the event, parang sinasabi ko sa sarili ko, sana, I was at the event.

“So, kung sakali man na magkakaroon ng ramp for Hanford, of course, I want her to be there,” nakangiting sabi ni Geoff na hindi man aminin ay mukhang in-love na talaga kay Carla.

‘Yung pagpo-pose niya na naka-trunks for Hanford, ibig bang sabihin, ready na talaga siya to go sexier?

“Yeah, like I’ve said, I’ve always been open to that naman. No qualms about sexy roles. As long as the character and the storylines call for it, hindi siya problema. At saka, siyempre, kung meron man na against it na gawin ko 'yun, magsasalita sila at pag-uusapan 'yun.”

Hanggang saan ba ang puwede niyang ipakita?

“Wow! I never thought about that pa. Pero, depende talaga. Depende sa script that calls for it.”

Kung si Geoff, tipong wala nga siyang inhibitions sa katawan, ang nanay raw niyang si Gina Alajar ang mas nasa-shock pa sa kanya.

“Pero ako, I’m always comfortable with my own skin naman. So, I’m not afraid with what people will say about me. So, okey lang. Open ako sa criticisms and all that.”

Open din daw siya sa idea na gumawa pa ng mas daring roles.

“Of course! Hindi naman na ako bumabata, tumatanda rin ako. And it’s part of the career. You have to make some move to make your career flourish. At saka, hindi rin madaling mag-diet, mag-gym. So, pinaghirapan na, ipakita na, 'di ba? Ha! Ha! Ha!” natatawang sabi na lang ni Geoff.
