Diana Zubiri at Robin Padilla, bigay na bigay sa kissing scene
PINAG-UUSAPAN ang halikang namagitan kina Robin Padilla at Diana Zubiri sa isang episode ng Asian Treasures. Kasi, pareho raw bigay na bigay ang dalawa sa first kissing scene nila.
Sa pagkakagalit nina Angel Locsin bilang Gabriela at Elias na role ni Robin, madaling nahulog ang loob ni Gabriel kay Ingrid na ginagampanan naman ni Diana.
Sa ngayon umiikot ang istorya sa pagkawala ng agimat na ninakaw ni Hector.
Dahil sa agimat na napunta sa ibang tao, naglabasan ang iba't ibang klaseng maligno.
Sa pagkakagalit nina Angel Locsin bilang Gabriela at Elias na role ni Robin, madaling nahulog ang loob ni Gabriel kay Ingrid na ginagampanan naman ni Diana.

Glaiza de Castro, magpapa-sexy na?
ANG kapatid ni Alchris Galura na si Glaiza de Castro ang dahilan kung bakit hindi personal na natanggap ng una ang kanyang Best Performance by a Leading Actor- Drama sa 4th Golden Screen Awards ng EnPress.Isinama ni Glaiza ang bunsong kapatid sa location shoot ng digital film na Still Life sa isang isla sa Quezon Province. Nanghihinayang man ang aktres pero natutuwa naman daw siya dahil hindi siya pinabayaan ng bunsong kapatid sa pagbo-volunteer nito na maging "alalay" niya sa bundok.
"Nanghinayang ako para sa kapatid ko," Glaiza admits. "Pero blessing in disguise na rin kasi may isang eksena sa movie na kailangan kong umiyak. When I learned about it, naging motivation ko `yun para mapaganda `yung eksena."
Said digital film is intended for the 3rd Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival which will start sometime in July. May pressure raw kay Glaiza. Sa 2nd Cinemalaya, Alchris won as Best Actor for the digital film Batad Sa Paang Palay na nagbigay din ng Best Actor --Drama sa kapatid niya sa Golden Screen Awards last March.
Unang in-offer ang Still Life kay Maja Salvador. Bale lumalabas na second choice lang si Glaiza. Pero okay lang daw sa kanya kung second choice lang siya. Ang importante, ayon na rin sa aktres ng Asian Treasures, sa kanya napunta ang project.
"I don't mind. Happy na rin ako dahil nagkaroon ako ng pelikula. Excited rin ako dahil first independent film ko ito at entry pa sa Cinemalaya," sambit pa ng look-alike ni Angel Locsin.
Hindi isinasara ni Glaiza ang posibilidad na tumanggap siya ng offer to pose for a men's magazine. Katunayan, may mga offer na raw ang FHM at UNO pero undecided pa rin daw siya to plunge into it.
"Actually, may offer na po sa akin. Una, parang ayokong mag-follow ng fad. Nagiging trend na kasi ngayon, eh, sa papo-pose sa magazine. Parang iniisip ng tao na kaya sila nagpo-pose dahil `yun ang last recourse nila pero para sa akin I have nothing against posing for a men's mag."
At kung meron man daw siyang gustong patunayan ay makilala siya bilang isang mahusay na aktres.
"Kung tutuusin, kaya ko namang gawin. Bakit hindi? Pero hindi pa naman ako nagsasara ng pinto. At ayoko pa ring magsalita nang tapos pero sa ngayon, gusto ko munang magkonsentreyt sa pag-arte at makilala bilang mahusay na aktres o pagkanta," sambit ni Glaiza. Sa ngayon, maglalagare si Glaiza sa dalawang TV shows sa GMA, ang Asian Treasures na pinagbibidahan nina Angel, Marvin Agustin, Marky Cielo at Robin Padilla at Boys Next Door kung saan makakasama naman niya ang mga StarStruck graduates na sina Mart Escudero, Aljur Abrenica, Rich Asuncion, Jesi Corcuera, Steff Prescott at marami pang iba.
Ryza Cenon and Jennylyn Mercado finally end their rift
All's well that ends well sa dalawang StarStruck Ultimate Female Survivors na sina Ryza Cenon at Jennylyn Mercado. Tapos na ang naging problema nilang dalawa at mukhang okay na ang lahat sa pagitan nila. Nagsimula ang issue kina Ryza at Jennylyn nang ma-link si Ryza kay Mark Herras noong sila pa ni Jennylyn. Ikinaselos daw ito nang husto ni Jennylyn at may nasabi raw na hindi maganda si Jennylyn kay Ryza kaya nagkaroon sila ng matinding gap.
Naganap ang pag-aayos nina Ryza at Jennylyn nang sabay silang mag-guest sa All-Star K nina Allan K at Jaya. Biniro raw silang dalawa ni Allan at doon nagsimula ang pagbabati nila.
"Nagbatian naman kami that night. Hindi lang kami nakapag-usap kasi una akong natanggal sa game kaya umalis na ako. Pero noong mag-recording kami para sa StarStruck Final Judgment, nagbatian kami ulit at bumeso naman ako sa kanya," panimulang kuwento ni Ryza.
"Masarap ang feeling na wala nang taong masama ang loob sa ‘yo at wala ka na ring galit sa taong ito. Sabi ko naman, magkakaayos kami ni Jen sa tamang panahon, hindi yung pipilitin kami. Kaya heto, okay na kami," nakangiti pa niyang sabi.
Wala pa ring boyfriend si Ryza hanggang ngayon. May mga gusto na raw manligaw sa kanya, pero kaagad daw silang bina-basted ni Ryza. Tuloy, natutukso si Ryza na isang tomboy.
"Ay, hindi naman po ako tomboy!" mariin niyang tanggi. "Hindi naman porke't wala akong boyfriend, tomboy na. Hindi pa lang ako prepared sa ganyan. Gusto ko munang magtrabaho nang maayos. Baka maging problema pa ‘yang mga lalake sa buhay ko."
Inamin ni Ryza na nagsisimula na sanang manligaw sa kanya ang StarStruck 3 Ultimate Sole Survivor na si Marky Cielo kaso ay pinatigil niya ito kaagad.
"Sinabi ko naman kay Marky na hindi pa ako handa. Willing naman daw siyang maghintay. Okay naman si Marky, e. Kaso wala pa talaga sa akin ang magkaroon ng boyfriend. May tamang panahon para diyan," paliwanag ni Ryza.
Bukod sa Ay, Robot! sa QTV 11 at SOP sa GMA-7, kasama rin si Ryza sa Fantastic Man bilang isa sa leading ladies ni Mark Herras. Magsisimula na ang Fantastic Man sa April 14 sa GMA-7.
Kumusta naman ang pakikipagtrabaho niya kay Mark?
"Wala naman akong naging problema kay Mark, e," sabi ni Ryza. "Nag-iwasan lang kami noong nagkaroon kami ng issue. Mabait si Mark at na-misinterpret lang ang pagiging close namin noon. Pareho kasi kami ng manager, di ba? Gusto kasi ni ‘Nay Lolit [Solis] ay close kaming mga anak-anakan niya.
"Matagal ko ring hindi nakatrabaho si Mark at natuwa naman ako't isa ako sa leading ladies niya sa Fantastic Man. Sa dami ng mga nali-link kay Mark, siguro naman hindi na ako isasali diyan kasi tapos na akong ma-link sa kanya," ani pa ni Ryza bilang pangwakas.
They came, they saw, they conquered
It was a glittery Sunday night as new stars dazzled in the bright showbiz sky when GMA 7’s fourth edition of StarStruck The Next Level announced the ultimate winners in the nationwide grand artista search before an estimated crowd of over 15,000.Aljur Abrenica of Pampanga, Jewel Mische of Bulacan, Mart Escudero of Cavite and Kris Bernal of Quezon City emerged victors among the six survivors who dream of becoming the next young stars.
Their 16 weeks of acting tests, personality development and harnessing of talent proved fruitful as the four won the nod of the council judges composed of direk Louie Ignacio, Lorna Tolentino, Douglas Quijano and two more jurors, VP for entertainment TV Wilma Galvante and GMA Films president Annette Gozon-Abrogar. The ultimate winners earned the most number of votes from fans and supporters for a total of 1,227, 788 text votes.
The finalists’ total votes were announced in between fabulous production numbers of the search’s past Ultimate Survivors and Avengers except for Nadine Samonte who was nowhere in sight due to a conflict in schedule.
Eye-catching batch one Avengers Katrina Halili and Cristine Reyes wowed the Marikina Sports Park crowd as they gyrated to a sexy beat while Ultimate Survivors Mark Herras, Mike Tan and Marky Cielo showed what being a bad boy in the dance floor means. Jennylyn Mercado, Ryza Cenon and Jackie Rice filled the air with their voices as they crooned a Tagalog song with survivors Aljur, Mart and Prince Stefan of Iloilo.
Today’s batch of Avengers also rendered hilarious song and dance numbers to excited fans. The tension felt by the finalists’ friends and relatives who were seated in the front row were faded away with the group’s wacky moves. Mart’s mom Suyen sat quietly from a distance. She kept an eye on her son on stage, worried that Mart might make a wrong move the way he did before final judgment night.
The 16-year-old, sophomore high school student was in hot water when he naughtily recorded in his cell phone video an act against one of the show’s production staff. This caught the attention of GMA executives and got him a demerit of percentage points in the competition. Thank God, Mart showed the best in him when he danced to the tune of Stomp.
He won praises from direk Louie who noticed Mart’s improvement week after week since Day 1 of the competition. The director even said that the young Caviteño who was once eliminated during the contest met all his (direk Louie’s) expectations. Wilma, on the other hand, told Mart she felt he had fun doing his number, and thus gave an excellent performance. Mart’s impressive performance earned him votes that clinched the Ultimate Loveteam title with Kris.
Nursing student Kris showed she’s not just another pretty face but the next young star to watch out for as she has improved a lot performance-wise — be it on acting, singing or dancing. Talent manager Douglas was reminded of Vilma Santos when Kris did a dance act with the Hotlegs complete with high-flying lift.
Bakekang star Sunshine Dizon wished the former Pond’s model and teen mag cover girl all the best and looks forward to working with the small but terrible Kris who was proclaimed Best Actress in an acting test with direk Laurice Guillen. If Kris projected a character so charming, Jewel has proven she’s sweeter than Bulacan Sweets. Contrary to her pasaway image, which she had since the contest started, Jewel won the Ultimate Sweetheart title and made her over a million pesos richer. Richard Gutierrez, in a video, advised Jewel not to allow anyone to put her down as she really worked hard to be where she is now. He is eager to work with her soon.
This sent the UP music student on Cloud Nine. And while Jewel proved her worth as a star, Aljur never gave up when he failed to make it to the talent search’s second edition. "I really tried hard to achieve my dream to be an actor. It’s such a nice feeling now that I’m here," he says. That’s why the English boyband Blue’s song Best in Me fits Aljur to a T as he displayed his worth and bagged the Ultimate Hunk title.
The 17-year-old Don Bosco Academy high school student even dreams of putting up a hotel to add to the family business. His dad Alfonso manages an entertainment bar in Batangas. While the four ultimate winners took home a lot of prizes, first princess Rich Asuncion of Bohol and first prince Prince Stefan didn’t go home empty-handed. Both received a cash prize, a Belgian Waffle franchise and an all-expense paid short course at Informatics.
The Avengers likewise received the waffle franchise business package and short computer course program from Informatics. Special awards were also given to some of the Avengers like the Itaktak Mo award for Jesi Corcuera, Dats Entertaining award for Jan Manual while Dex Quindoza and Stef Prescott won the Best Male and Female Dramatic Exit awards respectively.
Angel at Robin, na-stranded sa Surigao
NA-STRANDED the other day ang buong cast ng Asian Treasures, sa pangunguna nina Angel Locsin at Robin Padilla, sa Sohotan Cave, Surigao del Norte. Bangka lang ang nakararating sa nasabing island cave na dalawang oras ang layo sa city. Pero pati ito’y hindi na nakayang pumasok nang biglang mag-high tide sa lugar.
Hindi na tuloy nakauwi ang cast at crew sa hotel na tinutuluyan sa Surigao City. Minabuti nilang matulog sa toldang ginagamit na pahingahan habang nagti-taping.
Sabi ng production manager na si Redgie Magno, nagpadala na ng security forces si Surigao Governor Lyndon Barbers para maprotekhaan ang mga artista at staff sa kuweba.
Kaya paggising ng mga artista, nagulat sila sa rami ng bangkang dumating sa set. ’Yun pala, pagkati ng tubig ay nagsipagsagwanan na ang taga-village na fans nina Angel, Robin, Diana Zubiri, Marky Cielo at Glaiza de Castro patungo sa kuweba para makita sila.
Hanggang Feb. 28 pa tatagal ang 60 stars and staff sa Surigao, dahil sa March 11, tutuloy na sila sa Bangkok, Thailand, para sa dalawang linggong taping.
