CHYNNA MUM ABOUT RYZA'S 'PREGNANCY'
CHYNNA Ortaleza knows she’s not the first choice for the role of Cherie Gil’s evil sister in “Magic Palayok”. It was meant for Nadine Samonte, who was transferred to “My Lover, My Wife”.
“Okay lang sa’kin, no problem,” she says. “I’m enjoying the role kasi contravida pero nakakatawa ang dating. My character’s name is Natasha Ledesma and I’ve just been told screen name daw ito ng isang sexy star sa Seiko Films noong araw kaya curious tuloy ako to see how she looks.”
She welcomes the chance of working with Cherie in “Magic Palayok”. “Idol ko siya as the classiest contravida ever at natutuwa ako kasi lagi kaming magkasama sa eksena. Dream come true for me na makasama siya tapos ang bait-bait pa niya. When I said idol ko siya, she said we can be friends.”
She admits she was about to move to TV5. “Matagal na akong walang show sa GMA and they’ve been getting me to do guestings sa TV5. Then they offered me to do ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’. Kaso, nag-counter offer sina Ms. Annette Gozon ng GMA ng 3-year guaranteed contract of two shows a year, so I stayed with GMA.”
Is it true her friend Ryza Cenon is preggy after she was seen throwing up on the set of “Machete”? “I don’t know. Ayoko ng sumagot sa ganyan. May pinagtanggol ako noon na hindi, tapos buntis pala.”
She’s referring to LJ Reyes, who later gave birth to her and Paolo Avelino’s son.

The topic usually asked of Geoff Eigenmann for the “Magic Palayok” presscon was: when are you and Carla Abellana planning to wed? Doesn’t he get fed up hearing the particular question over and over again? “Wala, e,” he shrugs. “Before, ang laging tinatanong was kung on na ba kami, so I guess logical lang that the next question after we admitted na officially on na nga kami is: kailan kayo pakakasal? Ganun din naman sa iba pang artista who admitted they’re going steady, di ba? And I guess hangga’t hindi kami kinakasal, itatanong at itatanong pa rin 'yun at paulit-ulit din naming isasagot na we’re not yet ready as we’re still enjoying our careers.”In GMA 7 new soap “Magic Palayok,” he plays Jude, a rich guy who is going to be long lost dad of Angeli Sanoy, the girl who owns the magic palayok which can cook a variety of delightful dishes. Her mother, Mikee Cojuangco in a special guest role, dies and so Angeli is forced to search for her father. Perhaps the biggest issue is there are three other guys who will be also believed to be her possible dad: Jay-R, Gino de la Pena and Frank Garcia. “Our last show ni Carla was a heavy drama, ‘Basahang Ginto’. This one is much lighter at may fantasy elements for the whole family. I’m glad to be reunited here with Direk Joel Lamangan kasi para kang nagwo-workshop with him. Hangga’t di niya nagugustuhan ang isang eksena mo, pauulit niya sa’yo until you perfect it. Dito, mala-Walt Disney ang treatment niya that even the villains, played by my Tita Cherie Gil and Chynna Ortaleza, very funny ang dating.”
“Magic Palayok” will replace “Bantatay” that ends today with an explosive episode in which a major character will say goodbye. “Bantatay” is truly a constant toprater and even it’s newest competitor, Kris Aquino’s game show, find it hard to beat it. “Kaya nga may pressure sa’min,” says Geoff. “Kailangan ma-maintain ng ‘Magic Palayok’ ang high ratings set by ‘Bantatay’.”

Yasmien Kurdi reprises Sharon Cuneta's role in "Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso"
Hindi pa man nagsisimulang ipalabas ang Sinasamba Kita, ang unanghandog ng Sine Serye ng GMA-7, ay nagkaroon na ng story conference
para sa susunod na episode ng naturang serye. Ito ay ang remake ng
1985 movie ng Megastar na si Sharon Cuneta, ang Pati Ba Pintig ng
Puso?. Balitang first week of May nakatakdang mag-first taping day
ang second offering ng Sine Serye.
Ang Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso? ay pinagtambalan noon nina Sharon at ng
kanyang dating asawa na si Gabby Concepcion. Kasama nila rito sina
Eddie Garcia, Dina Bonnevie, Edu Manzano, Jobelle Salvador, at ang
yumao nang sina Charito Solis at Joel Alano.
Sa TV version naman ng Viva Films classic na ito, first time na susubukan ng Kapuso Network ang tambalang Yasmien Kurdi at JC de Vera, na gaganap sa mga roles nina Sharon at Gabby.
Napag-alaman ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na kasama rin sa cast ng TV version ng Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso? sina Eddie Gutierrez sa role ni Eddie Garcia noon, si Karel Marquez sa role ni Dina Bonnevie, at si Chynna Ortaleza sa role ni Jobelle Salvador. Makakasa rin daw rito sina Jennifer Sevilla, Marco Alcaraz, at Kier Legaspi.
Ayon pa sa balita, tila hindi na raw hihintayin ng GMA-7 na matapos ang Sinasamba Kita bago ipasok ng GMA-7 ang Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso? dahil sunud-sunod na raw itong mapapanood after ng Daisy Siyete.
Isa sa pinaka-memorable scene sa pelikulang Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso? ay ang helicopter scene, kung saan bumaba si Gabby pauwi sa kanilang hacienda. Ayon sa PEP source, na kasama sa production team ng TV version, pipilitin nilang maipakita rin ang naturang scene sa remake
nito.
